Exam preparation at the German Language School of Marin Student taking test - German Language School of Marin

The AATG test.

Our Students take the nationwide AATG test (American Association of Teachers of German) that is administered annually. The AATG test is a valuable tool to measure the progress and success that the students have made in learning German throughout the year. The AATG test provides a national equivalency score to 2, 3, and 4 years of high-school. Administered for over 50 years, the AATG has the added value of creating excitement and a sense of accomplishment inherent in participation.

The AP test.

Over the course of a semester, our curriculum provides students with the tools and opportunities to speak, read, and write German with confidence. Our curriculum helps students prepare not only for the AATG test, but also the Advanced Placement (AP) German Test available to take through your teenager's high school. The AP exam, administered by the College Board, can provide high school students valuable credits toward colleges in the US. The German Language School of Marin is developing curriculum specifically geared toward mastering the AP test that will be available soon. Students who wish to prepare for the AP test are also offered special instruction and coaching.

Community programs.

The German Language School of Marin also offers community and satellite classes. These courses are typically offered offsite and during the week, depending on interest. Please contact us if you are interested in any of our special programs for the coming semester.
